Python Software Developer

Job Brief:

We are looking for an exceptional Software Developer to join our innovative IoT team at WINT. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping how we develop, test, and deploy our products. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale water management solutions through cutting-edge software and hardware integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Python-based applications to manage and optimize large-scale water systems.
• Implement, and optimize algorithms in Python.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture to support scalable and resilient systems.
• Integrate and manage hardware components with the software stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Cloud Developers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers, to drive project success.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality code and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and updates for Linux-based systems post-deployment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, including concurrency and multithreading.
• Experience developing on Linux platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Redis.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and passionate about engineering excellence with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience managing data flow between IoT devices and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with additional IoT-related technologies.
