Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing management, with a deep understanding of medical terminology, resident rights, and home care practices. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively supervise staff, manage shifts, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing clinical policies and procedures for skilled nursing and PT services.
- Review and refine agency compliance with Chapter 601 and Medicare CoPs.
- Prepare for Department of Health mock survey and licensure readiness.
- Serve as a clinical consultant to the Administrator and governing body.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training plans for nursing staff.
- Provide input on EMR selection and clinical documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; 1 year in home health preferred
- Prior management, QA, or compliance experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of home health regulations, OASIS, and EVV systems
Requirements
• Current nursing license (RN) with relevant experience in acute care or assisted living settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management.
• Proven experience in supervising nursing staff and managing shifts effectively.
• Familiarity with home care practices and resident rights advocacy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Ability to demonstrate strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
• A passion for providing high-quality patient-centered care.
