Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Reportingto the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions inaccordance with scope of practice and professional standards, includingdemonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope ofpractice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards,scope of practice for LVN and all othernursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates theability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge oftheory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the abilityto use a population based approach to determine patient needs.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduate of an accredited RegisteredNurse (RN) program required.

2. Experience and/or training inleadership preferred, if acting as charge nurse

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Current CA State licensure asa Registered Nurse required.

2. Current CPR certificaterequired.

*Must have 1 year of acute care experience
