The Opportunity
Penn Construction + Design is actively seeking a seasoned Lead Carpenter to spearhead our remodeling projects. You’ll play a central role in field management, team direction, and hands-on carpentry, ensuring each project runs efficiently and reflects our high craftsmanship standards. What You’ll Do
• Take charge of day-to-day construction site activities, keeping timelines, budgets, and team members aligned.
• Ensure the precision and quality of all carpentry tasks, catching issues before they become problems.
• Interact directly with homeowners, providing updates and resolving concerns courteously and professionally.
• Lead daily briefings, coach new hires on tool usage and jobsite expectations, and uphold team morale.
• Maintain accurate job records using platforms such as Buildertrend, Job Tread, and BusyBusy.
• Follow and enforce safety rules, care for company equipment, and keep the work site orderly.
What We’re Looking For
• Professional Experience:Several years in residential remodeling with past leadership responsibilities.
• Carpentry Expertise:Skilled in reading plans and completing tasks like framing, window/door installs, cabinetry, and finish carpentry.
• Leadership Abilities:Confident managing crews, subcontractors, and client relationships.
• Physical Readiness:Able to handle physically active tasks, including ladder work and extended standing.
• Tools & Transportation:Own your basic tools and belt. Must have reliable transportation; trailer towing ability is a plus.
• Work Habits:Dependable, organized, and focused on delivering quality outcomes.

Schedule
Full-time: Monday through Friday
Occasional weekend or extended hours may be needed to meet project deadlines

Based in Havertown, PA with active projects throughout Montgomery and Delaware counties
