[Rödl & Partner USA] Senior Tax Associate

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our practice in Houston, TX. You will work with a select team providing tax compliance services to predominately manufacturing and distribution clients. You must be able to manage projects, work under time pressures, multi-task, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The right candidate will be organized, proactive, and results-oriented.

What you will do:

• Prepare Federal and state tax returns, with a primary focus on corporate compliance
• Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topics
• Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
• Provide timely and high-quality services and deliverables that exceed client expectations
• Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
• Prepare clear, concise work papers and other communications
  

What you need to bring:

• 3+ years of professional Federal and state income tax compliance experience, including experience in public accounting
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
• CPA license or similar certification is highly preferred for this senior-level position
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills in English
• Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Positive team player attitude
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry
• CCH Axcess tax experience
