Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
Project Planning, Coordination and Management:
- Works with Sampling Management to establish overall project scope and manages internal team to ensure coordinated effort; schedules and conducts project kick-off meeting.
- Directs, coordinates and manages task assignments and completions for the entire team.
- Reviews plans and product specifications.
- Assists in establishing fees and developing budgets and quotes for materials and fabrication.
- May assist in developing presentations and presenting to team members.
Project Administration:
- Maintains detailed project documentation, including key project decisions, customer requests and revisions.
- Provides timely formal written communications throughout project to specifier, product team.
- Manages accurate and detailed record keeping including scope detail, key milestones, overall schedules, sign-offs, etc.
- Creates and maintains project information, including but not limited to: project timeline, plans, budgets, quotes, meeting notes, etc.
Project Implementation:
- Assists in the preparation and development of budgets, and the presentation to the team.
- Reviews technical specifications for accuracy, completeness and correct application.
- Manage the change order process.
- Manage remake and issue process.
Order management:
- Works with Sampling Management for the processing of quotes and of order entry.
- Follows through on all aspects of order entry in accordance with established company procedures, including updates on order management and the addition of small or singular items.
- Track order to completion; maintains accurate and standardized order records.
- Interfaces with the factory and fabrication to establish shipping schedules and special instructions.
- Reviews ship dates to ensure project timelines are met.
Closeout:
- Confirms project completion.
- Performs post-project evaluation to document project successes and key lessons learned.
QMS:
- Follow ISO 9001:2008 established directives. Adheres to all department and/or company quality policies and processes.
- Understands & supports the company and/or department quality policy & objectives
EMS:
- Follow ISO 14001:2004 established directives. Adheres to all department and/or company environmental policies and processes
- Understands & supports the company and/or department environmental policy & objectives
- Complies with the company and/or department recycling program
- Understands the environmental impact upon the air, water and land
Qualifications:
Skills & Abilities:
- Technical -
- Possesses strong product knowledge and basic technical knowledge, correct product application, custom applications, product pricing, building and fire codes.
- Has the ability to analyze, plan, schedule and implement.
- Has the ability to produce takeoffs, specification and order ready documentation.
- Has a strong knowledge of all aspects of management, including budget, quote and order preparation and management, installation and project administration.
- Possesses strong organizational skills including documentation and filing.
- PC skills - Intermediate level:
- MS Word, Excel, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator.
- Able to utilize ICE software
- Able to fully utilize my 3Form projects as well as on line catalogs, technical specifications and drawings.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve site issues.
- Is a team player that possesses solid communication skills, including: verbal, written, presentation and listening skills.
- Is responsive, possesses creative problem solving skills and demonstrates good business judgment.
- Is detail and process oriented.
- Is innovative, creative, proactive and is flexible; can multi-task.
Experience:
- Two+ years project management or related experience.
- Design and construction experience preferred.
