Your Impact 

As a Vulnerability Management Specialist you will work across all teams at Axon to increase our security posture. You will be responsible for the day to day operations of our vulnerability management program. Your breadth of technical knowledge will support you as you work across numerous technology stacks including Azure, K8s, Windows, Linux and many more. We are looking for a security leader to help us maintain a secure environment for our mission critical products

 

What You’ll Do 

Location: Remotely from United States OR Onsite at our Seattle, WA office.

Reports to: Director of Security Engineering & Operations

Direct Reports: None

  • Lead our vulnerability management practice and ensure process is being followed
  • Manage vulnerability intake from scanning tools, pentests and other methods
  • Support and drive vulnerability remediation efforts across engineering teams and IT.
  • Manage vulnerability scanning tools to ensure scans are complete and effective
  • Provide security expertise to analyze identified vulnerabilities in context of systems
  • Advise developers in effective ways to understand and mitigate identified vulnerabilities
  • Validate security vulnerabilities and remediations

 

 

What You Bring

 

  • Experience working with vulnerability tools such as: Nessus, Nexpose, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, AppSpider, Burp Suite, SAST/DAST tools etc.
  • Experience in vulnerability remediation at an enterprise level
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment
  • Breadth of technical knowledge covering topics including Linux, Windows, Containers, Networking, Azure
  • Strong communication skills and desire to partner with other teams to solve problems
  • US Citizenship

Pay Transparency

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 70,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 100,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 90,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 120,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
