Overview MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVER RECORDWe are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the premises through effective monitoring and response to incidents. Duties • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities. • Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to oversee premises and ensure compliance with security protocols. • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing assistance as necessary. • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and security systems to ensure functionality. • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. • Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations. • Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on-site. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required during incidents or investigations. • Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Qualifications • Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory. • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. • Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is advantageous. • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • A military background may be beneficial for understanding security protocols and discipline. • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and emergency services.
