Position Summary
The Senior Accountant supports the delivery of services provided by the Business Office including accounting, finance, budgeting, risk management, and general operational support.
Primary Responsibilities
β Prepare internal and audited financial statements
β Prepare Form 990
β Maintain books on the daily operations of the school
o Tuition and fee billing and tracking
o Posting and collecting of accounts receivable
o Posting and payment of accounts payable
o Recording of cash receipts
β Reconcile bank statements
β Reconcile general ledger accounts and subledgers
β Ensure internal accounting controls and procedures are implemented including segregation of duties
β Support the formation of the operating budgeting
β Timely budget tracking and communication
β Communicate with parents/guardians with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
β Maintain organized records in accord with the record retention guidelines
β Maintaining general ledger system
β Record tuition assistance awards
β Release and track tuition assistance funding sources
β Providing school leadership with information vital to decision-making processes
β Evaluating accounting and internal control systems - implementing new processes
β Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database
β Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
β Carry out tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial & Operations Officer

Qualifications
β Bachelor in Accounting (or concentration in Accounting)
β At least 5 years of experience in accounting
