Senior Accountant

At TCP Software, finances are the fuel that keeps our company moving. We are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to assist the Assistant Controller in the ownership of our financial close and oversee and drive with success a team of staff accountants. Technically you would be strong in understanding of the intricacies of GAAP as it relates to assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial transactions within an organization. You should be able to drive the team to meet deadlines while continually holding yourself to those same standards. You would play an enormously important supportive role to the Assistant Controller to help manage day-to-day operations while continually improving these day-to-day processes with system implementations and continual evaluation and refinement of our controls to ensure all are scalable as we as a corporation continue to bring in acquired companies to our portfolio.  

As a Senior Accountant you will:

• Process payroll in ADP Workforce Now
• Instruct and drive specific general ledger account reconciliations and ensure the files are not only automated for scalability but easy to understand and audit. These reconciliations will be reviewed and signed off timely each month close.
• Own integration tasks related to new acquisitions to ensure seamless integration of data to our systems.
• Assist in the annual audit requests for preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Work collaboratively with other members of finance to assist with expense variance explanations.
• Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in various ad-hoc projects such as system upgrades and integration of business acquisitions.

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

• Experience in any of the following prepaid assets, ASC 842 lease accounting, intangible assets, intercompany reconciliations, purchase accounting resulting from mergers or acquisitions, fixed assets, and/or bad debt/AR reserves
• A current CPA license is a plus
• Experience with system integrations and implementations
• Knowledge of global operations in various currencies
• A proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively as various situations require
• A working knowledge of NetSuite and/or Zuora Billing
• Experience in multi-state payroll
• Experience in ADP Workforce Now
