Overview:
Traditions of America, a national leader in the development of 55+ lifestyle communities, is seeking amotivated, detail-driven Senior Accountantto join our Accounting & Finance Team at our Corporate Headquarters in Berwyn, PA. In this role, you will be immersed in the full scope of the company’s accounting operations, with direct exposure to company leadership and opportunities for professional growth. While primarily based in our corporate office, the Senior Accountant will also participate in occasional field visits to our award-winning communities, providing insight into our unique business model and development operations.
Preferred Background:
While prior experience in homebuilding is a plus,candidates with a background in property management accounting are strongly preferred, as the role involves working closely with homeowner’s associations, community operations, and sales-related financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Develop and analyze cost reports
• Prepare and post general ledger entries; reconcile account balances
• Collect data for external audits
• Analyze support schedules for all general ledger accounts
• Process commissions and review of sales agreements
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proactive, energetic team player with a willingness to learn
• Prior experience in property management or homebuilding is strongly preferred
