Job Description

As a (Senior) Accountant(m/f/x) you will oversee critical financial tasks essential to our accounting function in Poland. You will ensure data accuracy, analyze financial data for actionable insights, assist our external consultancies and contribute to enhancing our finance processes continuously.

Your playing field:

• As the first Accountant in our newly opened office in Cracow, you will be leading the built up of a new team along with processes. Of course therefore, you will have assistance from our colleagues in Malta and Germany.
• You will assist our external consultants in preparing and submitting the Company’s tax and VAT obligations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• In our constantly growing office that already inhabits 20 employees, you will assist the external with preparing payroll and double checking the pay slips - if this is new to you, we will train you on this.
• You will support audit processes and annual financial statement preparation, adhering to IFRS standards.
• Recording and classifying financial transactions according to accounting principles will be among your duties.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, guaranteeing timely payments, will fall under your purview.
• You will conduct monthly cost and revenue analysis, providing valuable insights to management.

Qualifications

• Education. You are holding Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or have a adequate education along with relevant experience.
• Experience: Ideally you have already worked in a similar role, knowing how to build processes from scratch. 3+ years are desired.
• Hands-on: You are a hands-on person, willing to learn and up-skill, enjoying a wide variety of tasks.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities are necessary.
• Language: Fluency in Polish and English, both oral and written, is essential.
