We are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant - Project Management based in the US to manage accounting operations and lead projects in collaboration with other Blueground departments. The Senior Accountant - Project Management will report to the Head of Accounting US and will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain proper and accurate records of the company's transactions. By contributing to the overall efficient operation of the department and by helping the company be fully aware of its financial condition, this role can help the company make the right decisions and accomplish long-term success. The ideal candidate should be able to work comfortably with numbers, understand how business processes interact with accounting records and have great attention to detail.

What you will focus on:

• Lead projects with the objective to analyze business requirements and adjust current accounting processes to meet those requirements
• Support accounting team members based in the US and overseas, to post and process journal entries
• Ensure all business transactions are recorded properly
• Collaborate with other departments based in the US to understand and document business needs from accounting, and turn them into efficient processes
• Assist in assessing current processes in terms of efficiency
• Work with the Head of Accounting US on the monthly/annual preparation of financial statements, and other financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and internal accounting guidelines
• Perform monthly account analysis to ensure they properly reflect the Company's financial position in accordance with company policy and GAAP
• Communicate with customers or suppliers regarding financial inquiries
• Design controls to ensure mitigation of financial risks
• Work with the tax department and external consultants regarding compliance-related obligations of the company
• Liaise with external auditors
• Assist with other accounting projects and/or ad hoc projects.

What we are looking for:

• BSc or BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and reporting practices
• Experience in stakeholder management
• Excellent communication skills and "client first" mentality
• Basic experience in establishing controls
• Fluency in English
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office & Google Suite
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Numbers driven individual with analytical acumen

Nice to Haves:

• Public accounting experience
• CPA license or equivalent
• Familiarity with Microsoft Navision 365 accounting software
