At the Bill Pay team you will create experiences for customers to pay their bills to their billers in a fast, secure, and streamline way. Bill Pay products allows the customer to search, and pay US bills via the PayPal app, as well as have a view of their upcoming expenses within PayPal, such as person-to-person requests, automatic payments and subscriptions.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to native Android application development by converting ideas, designs, and requirements into a robust and easy to use application.
• Lead and deliver complex software development projects with quality and per schedule.
• Provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be extended and reused.
• Consult with business units on feasibility, technical requirements, and development effort for new initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Collaborate with the Core Application team to maintain overall application goals including application size and performance.
• Identify areas of technical improvement and make business cases for improvements or new areas of opportunities.
• Define and devise processes, tools, and methodologies to achieve excellence in software development, testing, and deployment.
   

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience developing native Android applications in Java and Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience building Android applications connecting to RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Expert knowledge of algorithms with good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Knowledge of design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Ability to determine impact of architectural solutions and recommendations.
• Skilled at writing unit and automation tests.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent projects with different priorities.
• Effective at working in cross-functional groups and getting results in a matrix organizations.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related experience.
