Senior Backend Engineer - Product Integration

As a Senior Engineer, you will be working closely with other backend engineers, product manager, team lead, and QA engineers. You will own well-defined projects from beginning to end. You are expected to have a good range of technical abilities and implement code with security, testability, readability, maintainability, and edge cases in mind. You will ensure the quality of code within the team. Here at CleverTap, we operate at a very high scale. As of today, we process hundreds of millions messages daily and handle tens of thousands requests per second. Our production clusters have tens of thousand cores and petabytes of storage. The technology behind all this is a mix of cloud native and open source technologies over the Amazon Web Services. We are using many of the popular technologies in the distributed systems world today such as MongoDB, Redis, Splunk, Grafana, RabbitMQ, etc. And we never stop innovating and adding more and more things to the stack to meet the rapidly growing needs of our customers.

- You will be responsible to write server side scripts, API’s to be utilised by front side engineers and also other microservices.

- The day to day consists of optimising servers for speed and stability, implementing security structures, generating reusable code libraries and generating data storage solutions.

- Apart from this, you will also be involved with the product team directly in deciding the requirements, estimating delivery date for a particular feature and documenting the technical details for developing it.

Must have:

- 3+ years of experience with algorithms, data structures, and programming- Experience with at least one general purpose language like Java, C#

- Experience with Publish / Subscribe systems, such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ

- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases

Good to have:

- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis and/or AWS

- Experience working with distributed systems such as Kafka, Hadoop and cloud-native services

- Familiarity with frontend technologies such TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Vue.js

- Writing quality code adhering to the functional and non-functional requirements

- Follow standard practices (writing unit tests, reducing technical debt, etc)
