Senior Basis Consultant

Our company is growing and we are seeking a Basis Consultant to be based in one of our offices or in a WFH setup. As a Basis consultant, you will be a member and lead of a hands-on team and will be responsible for the building, testing, implementation and ongoing administration and maintenance of solutions across a diverse range of different industries. This is a role that requires the successful applicant to work independently on support and high level technical incident or change management work. You will be in a customer-facing position, handling complex technical requests.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work directly with all relevant project team members to implement functions across the SAP application footprint and administer and maintain the SAP technical landscape including
  
  • System Issues
  • System Patching and Upgrades
  • Database and Operating System migrations
  • System Administration
  • Performance fine-tuning
  • Technical Configuration Management - Level 3 tickets
• Perform SAP BASIS technical consulting, including service restorations/options analysis/impact analysis/technical specifications/release management and future plans for process/systems enhancements within the SAP application landscape

• Implement configuration changes in non-production environments; perform unit/functional unit testing of the changes before promoting to production via approved transport policies/processes to ensure system integrity.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

• At least 7+ years SAP experience with broad knowledge of leading-edge SAP technology in ERP, S/4 HANA. Including connectivity to all SAP Cloud Products
• Solid SAP Basis and ideally security knowledge encompassing all areas of system administration, performance and lifecycle management.
• Must have experience in a multi-customer environment in a consultancy (SAP Partner)
• Working knowledge and experience with various SAP components, operating systems and database technologies.
  
• Favourable skillset would include; HANA, SQL, Oracle, Linux, Solution Manager, Cloud ALM and Focus Run
• Experience and know-how of cloud environments as Azure and/or AWS.
• Exceptional troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills communicating with customers
• Must be self-sufficient, organised and proactive.
• Ability to multi-task & prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members
