Your Role and Responsibilities
Position is located full time onsite in Radford VA

This Position is for a Senior Citrix Administrator to assist with a growing environment of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 servers. This position will work with the Windows team to manage maintain deploy troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment. This role will be responsible for planning executing and implementing new system hardware and software create and maintain team technical instructions operating procedures and policies as needed.

This position will need to be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the servers and providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed. This is a managed service provider for Army and DoD IT systems and runs an on-premises private cloud and plans to offer managed cloud services in Microsoft Azure followed closely by Amazon Web Services.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Required Certifications:

CompTIA Security+

• 12 years overall experience or Masters + 10
• 5-7 years’ experience supporting various versions of Citrix XenApp Citrix ADC Storefront Director Studio Licensing and Gateway in highly available Citrix environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for Citrix related incidents problems and outages.
• Monitor Citrix performance and capacity identify potential issues and implement optimizations to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Plan and execute Citrix upgrades patches and migrations in coordination with Changes management processes.
• Stay current with industry best practices emerging technologies and Citrix updates to continuously improve the Citrix environment.
• Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.
• Work with executive team members decision makers and stakeholders to define business requirements and system goals and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills analytical and problem-solving skills written and verbal communication skills.’
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) comparable security implementation practices.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Senior level experience in process automation.
Senior level experience in PowerShell.
Understanding of Data Center technologies and experience maintaining a medium to large Data Center.
Virtualization concepts and technologies including Citrix and VMware.
Experience developing and maintaining Technical Documentation and Instructions.
