We are currently seeking full-time EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINIST LEAD to join our 2nd shift team! DMCPOWERInc. Manufacturing facilities in Carson, CA and Olive Branch, MS with numerous Service Center locations nationally and internationally. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are actively hiringCNC Machinist Lead (Milling)for the2nd shift at our fast-paced manufacturing plant in Carson (Los Angeles area), California. Our experienced and competent machinists will use CNC machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. They must be highly skilled and able to work with great concentration and precision and must comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high-quality parts for our customers in the Utility Industry. We are an ISO-9001 company with high quality standards. Our top-of-the-line, high-tech CNC machines manufacture precise, high quality products in a high-volume manufacturing environment. We strive to be productive and efficient and are the best in our industry. Job Responsibilities: • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, milling, etc. • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings and other specifications. • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. • Closely monitor the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. • Inspect and measure the finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. • Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. • Document the quality and quantity of the produced parts. Job Requirements: • Proven experience as a CNC operator and skills in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools is preferred. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering documents and drawings; mechanical aptitude and good math skills; a keen eye for detail and results-driven approach; and good communication abilities. • Must be reliable. Perfect attendance is a must! • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school, technical college or relevant discipline is a plus. • Must be able to pass drug and background screening. Experience Required: A Certificate from a college or machining technical school; or a current student from a machining school. 5+ years of related CNC machining experience preferred.
