ET HR SENIOR DATA ANALYST

The Role

We are looking for an experienced data scientist who has the passion and capability to respond to business questions using people data, advanced analytics, and data science techniques and tools.

You will play a significant role to execute on key foundational projects in alignment with the Fidelity Technology Talent Strategy. You will complete end-to-end analytical projects, using research methods, advanced statistical or machine learning techniques where applicable. Through your analysis and research, you will help to motivate change within the organization while informing the future roadmap and investments of our biggest asset, our talent. Additionally, you will perform both ad-hoc and in-depth analyses and will have a deep understanding of our Technology Talent Strategy. Working with multiple stakeholders to understand business challenges that can be resolved using analytics, you will define, interpret, and clarify the scope of problems/issues, identifying required data needs and analyses needed. You will use your knowledge and experience to help tell the story through data. Once integrated and familiar with our data structures and vocabulary, you will be empowered to work autonomously to successfully complete deliverables.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Develops complex statistical forecasting models and tools
• Uncovers deep insights and helps the organization understand how to leverage them for better business results
• Uses big data to solve the most complex strategic, tactical, structured, and unstructured business problems
• Collaborating with cross functional groups to further inform analytic goals
• Serves as a coach and mentor to other team members

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and business audiences
• Experience with common open source data science tools & languages, such as Python (preferred) or R
• Demonstrated broad knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
• Experience with unstructured data and natural language processing, sentiment analysis and topic modeling techniques
• Hands-on research experience in a quantitative scientific field, preferably in the social sciences studying human subjects, a plus
• Experience in enterprise-scale data warehouses, Big Data tools and technologies, SQL
• Familiarity with AWS cloud compute and data science tools a plus
• Data visualization experience, in languages such as d3.js, R, or Python
