The Data Research Engineering Team has the purpose of managing data from acquisition to presentation, collaborating with other teams while also operating independently. Their responsibilities include acquiring and integrating data, processing and transforming it, managing databases, ensuring data quality, visualizing data, automating processes, working with relevant technologies, and ensuring data governance and compliance. They play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making and meeting the organization's data needs. 

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Innovation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack engineer with a robust background in AI, data engineering, data warehousing, and front-end web development. This role involves creating cutting-edge web experiences, conducting A/B testing, and leveraging APIs like ChatGPT and Gemini to drive innovation through automation and experimentation. The position requires working night shifts to ensure continuous maintenance and optimization of our deployed web applications, as well as providing swift responses to any bugs reported by users, thus maintaining high service availability and user satisfaction.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Development:

  • Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Python, SQL, JavaScript, NextJS, HTML, and CSS.

  • Create and manage data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and ensure seamless integration of back-end and front-end components.

• AI and Data Engineering:

  • Integrate and optimize AI services for various applications using state-of-the-art technologies.

  • Design and manage scalable data architectures and ETL processes.

  • Utilize the ChatGPT API, Gemini API, and other relevant tools to incorporate AI functionalities into web applications.

• Front-End Web Development:

  • Develop user-friendly web interfaces and ensure they are responsive and performant.

  • Implement A/B testing frameworks to test new features and optimize user experiences.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring innovative web experiences to life.

• Experimentation and Innovation:

  • Create new experiments through the implementation of Javascript, HTML or CSS within front end web development 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in AI, data engineering, and web development to propose and implement innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop new ideas.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Thorough understanding of NextJS and its core principles.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.

  • A solid understanding of Python and practical experience with Django, Django Rest Framework, and ORM are essential.

  • Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks and libraries.

  • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and experience with data warehousing solutions.

  • Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools.

  • Hands-on experience with the ChatGPT API, Gemini API, or similar AI APIs.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience in full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end technologies. Min 3 years of experience, above 5 years is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex data engineering solutions.

  • Experience in designing front-end experiments using code editors (such as Optimizely, AB Tasty, and VWO) 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience using Optimizely for experimentation building.

• Direct collaboration with designers using Figma.

• Previous experience working within a marketplace and/or e-commerce platform.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
