About the Role: DevOps Automation Engineer


As a DevOps Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing developer productivity by automating security, governance controls, and the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain innovative tools and infrastructure that drive the efficiency of our CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Develop, implement, and maintain tools and infrastructure to support the SDLC pipeline and configuration management.
β€’ Customize and deploy CI/CD pipelines for both software and infrastructure delivery.
β€’ Plan, install, and upgrade DevOps tools and infrastructure.
β€’ Advocate best practices in DevOps, security, and governance across the organization.
β€’ Conduct troubleshooting, problem isolation, and incident resolution for infrastructure and tooling.
β€’ Continuously improve automation, platform performance, and system reliability.
β€’ Monitor and update platform KPIs for stakeholder consumption.
β€’ Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
β€’ 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
β€’ Expertise in CI/CD tools such as version control systems, continuous integration (e.g., TeamCity), and deployment platforms (e.g., Octopus Deploy).
β€’ Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SaltStack) and provisioning tools.
β€’ Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
β€’ Familiarity with one or more development frameworks (JavaScript, C#, Python).
β€’ Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
β€’ Experience with reverse proxies and load balancers (e.g., NGINX, HAProxy).
β€’ Knowledge of WebApp and API technologies (e.g., JSON, REST).
β€’ Proficiency in IT security, networking, and infrastructure best practices.

Preferred Skills:
β€’ Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix).
β€’ Familiarity with service mesh tools (e.g., Consul).
β€’ Knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management.
β€’ Exposure to microservices architecture.

Soft Skills:
β€’ Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
β€’ Strong communication, technical writing, and documentation capabilities.
β€’ Collaborative mindset with a focus on team success.
