In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to significantly contribute to our DevOps efforts. In this role you'll lead smaller projects guide junior engineers and shape our technical direction in DevOps practices. You will also actively participate in the entire DevOps lifecycle focusing on automating and streamlining software delivery pipelines using modern DevOps tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Working with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
- Setting up and maintaining monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana Nagios).
- Managing log management and aggregation tools (e.g. ELK Stack Splunk).
- Understand and implement security best practices in accordance with DevOps principles.
- Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Proven experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g. Bash Python PowerShell).
- Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Excellent knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience with detecting and resolving security vulnerabilities
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI/CD CircleCI).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Chef).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus ELK Stack Datadog).
