Senior Frontend Developer

Note: This is a remote, 1099 contract. Candidates must be located in the United States.

We are partnering with one of the biggest music streaming companies to rapidly expand its services to drive further consumer engagement via smartphones, tablets, PCs, and connected devices while maintaining and growing its adoption in connected cars. They are looking for a creative and collaborative Senior Software Engineer with experience with Javascript and Typescript. This person will work mainly with API handling and performance optimizations and must collaborate with other clients on API specs. Please note that no UI work is involved in this role.  

Required Experience  

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.   
• Expert-level understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and curiosity to learn more.  
• Able to write organized, accessible, and performant apps using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.   
• Experience developing applications with Typescript.  
• Proficient with version control and effective collaborative development workflows.   
• Able to quickly fix bugs and solve problems in large, complex apps.   
• Design-minded attention to detail in user interface implementation.   
• Penchant for learning new technologies, balanced with pragmatic, solid thinking.   

Preferred Experience  

• TypeScript experience.  
• Experience with RxJS and understanding of functional reactive programming are strong pluses.  
• Streaming media experience.  
• Library/Framework development experience.
