Senior Frontend Developer

As a senior frontend developer in Vanilla UI, you will have the unique challenge of working with the UI in the world’s most sold game!  The work you will be doing  revolves around UI that supports player’s journey to find the fun in the game. You'll join a cross-functional team and work closely with the other developers, designers, producers, all working together on a game enjoyed by over 100,000,000 players worldwide. We have big dreams for the future of Minecraft and need your help make them happen.  

As a senior frontend developer you will work with modern web technology to develop the UI. The end user experience is central, and a big aspect of the role is to implement the designer’s and UX’s visions in a performant way. This in turn means that communication with other developers, design and UX is an important day-to-day cornerstone. Some of your tasks will be:  

•   Work with the Ore UI Design System and implement it in the Minecraft UI.   
• Collaborating with C++ developers on building new UI and making API decisions.  
• Work with designers and producers to solve user needs.  
• Support our existing UI and help evolve it.   
• Collaborate with other teams to create a consistent player experience in the game  
• Improve ways of working and technical best practices within the team.  
• Coach members within and outside of the team on best practices in software development.  
• Balance performance, user experience and developer experience in every decision.  
• Be quality driven, with experience in test automation and good API design.  

  What you will bring to the team:  

•  Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript and React.    

• Proven experience building large scale React applications.    

• Experience of working in product teams that build experiences using modern web development towards a large customer base.    

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a natural collaborator and team player.    

• A value for the end user experience, having the user in mind when you develop new features; if you identify potential issues, you bring them to the team.    

• Passion about test automation and quality.

This position is a Stockholm based roll which enquires you to be onsite in 2- 3 days a week.
