Senior Full Stack Engineer (contract-to-hire)

Role:

Reside Health is looking to bring on an individual who is passionate about performance and architecture to supplement our existing in-market V1 product. You will work closely with our Head of Product and CEO to lay out a 2-4 month roadmap to bolster our tech stack to scale through our next 100k patients. A major emphasis will be placed on building a solid identity management protocol across multiple platforms, instrumentation and reporting on patient performance, and streamlining business operations. 

This project can serve as a standalone engagement, or if there is mutual interest, the beginning of a FTE conversation. The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years of IC experience working with modern tools in a fast-moving environment. For the next 3-6 months, the main focus of this role will be in tools development, with consumer-facing work prioritized for later in the year 2023.

You’ll be working on a small team and you may be on your own sometimes, but it’s important that you be an empathetic team player who likes to talk through problems with others and share your knowledge. 

We want you to apply if you:

• Write clean, legible, and testable code;
• Are comfortable spinning up, managing, monitoring, and reasoning about (phew!) infrastructure on AWS;
• Have excellent communication skills and can explain complex technical problems in an accessible and compassionate way;
• Care a whole lot about building good user experiences;
• Highly self-motivated and results-driven
• Ability to work quickly/ efficiently while maintaining a high standard around code quality
• Overly communicative and curious
• Enthusiastic about building tools that help people live better lives
• At least 3-5 years of IC experience working with API-heavy data flows 
• Experience building infrastructure with sensitive user data (health, finance, etc.)

The Project:

• Time: 2-4 months, full time (40 hours per week)
• Compensation: Competitive pay for the duration of the contract. Open to discussion, as well as full time employment when you demonstrate that you are highly successful on this project
• Scope: Bolster tooling of the Reside Health backend architecture to unlock business operations, handle increased user scale
• Team: You will report to the Head of Product as the sole engineer on this project
• Benefits: There will be no benefits for this contract position
• Time-off: Timing is flexible, but we expect an average of 40 working hours per week over the course of the engagement
• Time zone: Our team is based in the Eastern Time zone. You must be able to work at least 2-3 hours per day overlapping normal ET business hours (9-5)
• Machine: You will be expected to bring your own computer and have a modern smartphone for testing.
