Job Overview

The Senior Network Engineer role will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining complex network infrastructures in support of AltaMed needs, ensuring a reliable network environment. The position will require interdepartmental skills, working daily with other teams across other departments. Specialization in Routing, Switching, Security, Wireless Technologies and LAN/WAN infrastructures is required. This role will require abilities to contribute

architectural designs and knowledge of networking best practices and compliance policies.

This position works closely with IT Operation, security and Systems teams to implement, monitor and maintain production and Dev infrastructure.

All IT team members are responsible for enhancing the capabilities and efficiencies of AltaMed’s application and infrastructure portfolio. Team members support the technology needs of corporate projects and business platform work requests. The position is responsible to manage Projects and tasks assigned by higher management.

Minimum Requirements

1. CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or higher certification required.

2. Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or technical discipline required or current college coursework resulting in a degree.

3. Minimum of 7 years of working experience in a security network engineer capacity required.

4. Experience required with firewalls such as Cisco ASA/FTDs, Palo Alto, Checkpoint or Fortinet Experience with routers and switches such as Cisco, HP or Juniper.

5. Experience required with wireless technologies such as Cisco Wireless, Aruba or Ruckus.

6. Cisco Identity Services Engine experience preferred.

7. SD-WAN experience preferred.

8. Extensive knowledge of network security architecture components (e.g. Firewalls, VPNs, ACL, IDS/IPS).

9. In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking and security technologies.

Compensation

$98,259.03 - $122,823.79 annually
