Senior Instructional Designer

As a Senior Instructional Designer at Torq, you will be a key player in revolutionizing cybersecurity education through the establishment of the Torq Academy. This comprehensive learning environment is designed to empower our community of customers, prospects, and partners. You will be responsible for creating engaging, informative, and visually appealing instructional materials that convey complex cybersecurity concepts and foster continuous learning and professional development. This role is essential to the Torq Academy's success and ensuring that our users have a best-in-class educational experience from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and Develop Instructional Materials: Create high-quality, engaging, and impactful cyber security educational content for a seamless learning experience.
• Collaborate with Experts: Work with subject matter experts to transform their knowledge into comprehensive educational materials for a diverse audience.
• Apply Instructional Design Theories: Use instructional design models and learning theories to develop effective and engaging learning pathways.
• Storyboarding and Visual Design: Utilize your visual design skills and storyboarding expertise to plan and present educational concepts effectively.
• Manage the LMS: Oversee the Learning Management System to ensure an intuitive, learner-friendly platform for distributing educational content.

Ideal Candidate

This position is perfect for someone with:

• At least 3 years of experience in instructional design and technology, preferably in tech companies, with a strong portfolio of educational content.
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, with solid lesson and curriculum planning skills.
• Proficiency in course development software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Strong visual design skills and adeptness at storyboarding.
• Ability to craft effective copy, instructional text, and scripts for audio/video content.
• BA or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Fluency in English for communication and content creation within our global community.
