We are seeking a Senior Javascript Engineer to join our talented team. As a Senior Javascript Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction and architecture of our e-commerce mobile application. You will work closely with the Technical Lead and other technical leaders, as well as collaborate with the product team to address the challenges of a rapidly growing platform with increasing demands.

This position can be based remotely in BC, AB, ON, or NS.


What you'll do
  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead and other team members to plan and architect mobile app projects, contributing to design discussions and decisions.
  • Implement and deliver high-quality mobile app features and enhancements using React Native, JavaScript, and React.
  • Work as part of a "pod," a small team of front-end and back-end engineers, to ensure effective and efficient development processes.
  • Contribute to the technical health of the mobile application by adhering to engineering best practices and participating in code reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile app development trends and technologies, incorporating them into the project when appropriate.
  • Assist in mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering a culture of growth and high psychological safety within the team.


    • What you bring to the table
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on mobile applications
  • Strong expertise in mobile app development, including proficiency in building cross-platform applications.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-scale mobile applications, ideally in an e-commerce or high-demand environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile UI/UX best practices, performance optimization, and mobile-specific security considerations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and cross-functional teams to achieve company goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
  • Passion for staying updated with the latest mobile app development trends and a drive to continuously improve engineering practices.
