About the role:.

• Develop and support Data engineering development for the application
• Design technical and functional solutions and implement the same in PDS, client support, maintenance

About the team: 

• IBS Business Intelligence combines an open data integration process, best-of-breed financial services data modeling and industry-leading business intelligence tools to provide the insight you require to run a more efficient and profitable institution.
• With nightly updates from the IBS core system, related applications and third-party feeds, IBS Business Intelligence serves as a critical component of business and operational functions of your banking organizations.
• The volume of data and applications and reporting tools provide a platform that benefits all users throughout your institution.
• BIC creates queries and reports leveraging integrated enterprise data model accessible through browser report creation tools.
• Expanded functionality includes FIS Custom Data Vault, along with numerous new universes and extracts introduced over the recent years.

What you will be doing:

• Design technical and functional solutions and implement the same in PDS, client support, maintenance
• Create / Enhance existing Application ELT process.
• Writing DBT and python code and implement complex ETL workflows.
• Scheduling jobs in Astronomer and monitor using Airflow.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and automated unit testing.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) working as a Data Engineer or similar role with 6+ years of overall IT experience.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, including designing data warehouses and optimizing queries.
• Proficiency in python scripting and handle the job flows.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
• Hands-on experience on DBT (Data Build Tool) and Airflow for data orchestration and workflow management.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and building scalable data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Added bonus if you have:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Certifications in Snowflake, DBT, Airflow will be a plus.
• Experience in Data modeling, ThoughtSpot, DataBricks, other reporting or analytical platforms, etc.
• Experience of Agile Scrum will be an added advantage
• Fluent in English
• Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
• Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
• Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
