What you'd be doing in this role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer working across the various domains in Martech, you will be using your advanced machine learning and programming skills with Product Managers (PMs) and Engineering Managers to develop ways of leveraging data to make better, smarter product decisions and outcomes.
This work includes (but is not limited to):

• Product development: work with PMs to explore and understand problem spaces, helping to plan and execute the productionisation of machine learning models to solve business problems at scale.
• Automated decisioning: leveraging data to build automated systems that scale a marketer's work to bring valued potential customers to Canva.
• Asset creation at scale: keep up with the latest breakthroughs, such as in generative AI, to apply them to creatives automation in order to speed up and scale the work of our marketers at Canva, such as resizing marketing assets for various marketing channels.
• Research and development: comfortable with challenging problems and high uncertainty in the ad and content generation space, and a pragmatic attitude in building solutions.

You're probably a match if

• You have industry experience building and deploying machine learning models. Strong understanding of end-to-end machine learning pipelines and components.
• You have experience working with a multi-skilled team to deliver a great experience to users.
• You have strong coding proficiency in Python.
• You are familiar with several of the following: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Kubernetes, Docker, Solr/ElasticSearch.
• You have a strong understanding of Computer Science/Engineering fundamentals and first principles covering system design, data structures, architecture, and design patterns.
• You have strong research skills with the ability to dig through deep learning literature and translate this into products and value for users.
