In this role, you will spearhead the development and execution of Pine Gate Renewables’ event, sponsorship, and advertising program to create a national stage for Pine Gate Renewable’s brand, innovation and commercial development activity.
Role Responsibilities Summarized:
- Crafting PGR’s national presence and managing all aspects of its participation in industry events and sponsorships.
- Working with internal stakeholders to determine their needs and priorities regarding a national presence
- Proposing, negotiating, and making the decisions (with alignment to corporate policy and budget) for Pine Gate’s participation and activities to ensure we receive maximum value from our contractual relationships.
- Planning and managing logistics while representing the brand both on-site and behind the scenes as needed.
- Demonstrating brand standards by example as well as assisting others to ensure adherence to all public brand value expressions such as logos/apparel and appearances.
- Establishing measurement discipline to determine the linkage between PGR participation levels (attend, sponsor, exhibit, speak) and related brand promotion strategies.
- Working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, juggle competing priorities and work through issues independently or with little supervision.
- Conduct short- and long-term planning and management for events and sponsorships, including effective marketing plans generating measurement success.
- Assembles creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors.
- Coordinates with business and marketing teams on budget recommendations, key themes and messages, collateral, and/or other marketing and branding needs
- Research industry best practices with event sponsorships/levels as an input for decision-making about our own participation strategies
- Coordinates conferences, trade shows, and related press interview logistics and prepares briefing and marketing materials.
- Negotiates and manages sponsorship agreements and contracts for event venues and hotels, room blocks and group registrations, and related branding opportunities
- Scouts event locations when needed and provides onsite logistics support
- Manages contract renewals and sponsorship negotiations in support of business needs and annual budget development.
- Ensures all activities are tracked consistently and appropriately in accordance with marketing measurement research and strategy. Provides post event survey maintenance, distribution, data entry and reporting. Conducts event de-briefs with team and identify best practices for future events.
- Assembles creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors.
- Develops internal and external mechanisms to identify publicity and promotional opportunities that will drive brand objectives at the national level, including:
- Identification, development, and management of key industry awards, charitable giving and organizational sponsorships, and all advertising (publication/channel testing, negotiating media buys)
- Creates and maintains all creative materials, designs and files in support of publicity and advertising activities
- Ideates, researches, prepares, and maintains event materials throughout the planning and execution of events.
- Collaborates with team on creative development needs, plus related lead generation and nurturing of opportunities before, during and after events
- Ensures all key stakeholder, legal, and compliance reviews and approvals where needed
- Sets and manages budgets across events, sponsorships and advertising plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of experience directly managing industry events and sponsorships
- Excellent knowledge of contracts, agreements, MSAs, and other event documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to complete multiple projects with short deadlines; ability to prioritize workload independently.
- High corporate EQ with strong business and interpersonal instincts, judgment, and integrity. Experience interfacing with C Suite, partners, and other business executives.
- Advanced project management and collaboration skills with ability to independently manage conflict resolution when challenges arise. Proactively make suggestions for resolution to issues.
- Action-oriented team player with a focus on achieving results and an exceptional eye toward detail and quality.
- Maintains extensive networks with industry experts, trend setters and related suppliers
- Solar or renewable energy experience
- MBA and/or CMP
- Marketing attribution, ROI and/or model development experience
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Marketing, Communications or related field
Working Environment and Physical Demand
- Independent travel up to 25-30%
