As a Java Frontend Engineer, you will be part of an experienced team that builds out the technology that powers our retail brokerage business and supports our other business initiatives. Our applications are very reactive and responsive to our customer's needs. We care about design and appeal as much as we do about keeping the apps stable and speedy.
What you'll do

• Work on a JavaFx/OpenJfx desktop application 
• Integrating Swing-based UI components into the JavaFx application
• Assist in maintaining a Java library that contains shared model classes and business logic.
• Create release builds/installers for each supported operating system: Windows/MacOS/Linux
• Improve the code quality of a large code base by participating in code reviews via pull requests
• Participate in an agile development process
• Partner/collaborate with other teams
• Requirements from the project team
• Review/Testing from the QA team

Who you are

• Professional experience with JavaFx/OpenJfx 8 or better
• Comfortable working with Swing
• Familiar with HTTP request/response specification
• Understand REST concepts with JSON request and response bodies
• Used a dependency injection framework such as Dagger or Spring
• Worked with Java build system such as gradle or maven
• Follow good unit testing practices in regards to coverage and mocking (ie JUnit, mockito)
• Doing pull-requests to submit work for review and review work done by other peers
• Experienced with command line tools such as git and custom shell scripts
• At home in an IDE such as IntelliJ or Eclipse
