Senior ML Engineer

System1 is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team!

The Role You Will Have:

• As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at System1, you'll play a key role in driving our product strategy forward. 
• You'll leverage our in-house code and data frameworks, such as dataiku, to architect service-oriented solutions, develop scalable algorithms, and deploy LLM and LLM-adjacent technologies within our platform. 
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll engage stakeholders across multiple product priorities and focus on the scalability, measurement, and observability of ML systems.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a highly quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Operations Research, etc) or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience delivering data science solutions in production environments
• Strong understanding of LLM technology, including embedding models, vector storage/retrieval, etc.
• Hands-on experience with dataiku (preferred)
• Fluency in Python or similar scripting language in a data science context
• Strong software design and implementation skills with Python or a general-purpose programming language
• Experience in service-oriented environments: Microservices, SaaS, or cloud-native environments preferred
• Proficiency in AWS and infra-as-code (terraform, pulumi, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud based analytics databases
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a wide spectrum of cross-functional team members

The base salary range in Canada for this full-time position is $154,400 - $193,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all U.S. and Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Canada - System1’s headquarters is located in Marina del Rey, CA with additional offices in Bellevue, WA and Guelph, ON, Canada. Employees near office locations are returning to the office. Location-specific policies and available accommodations will be discussed during the interview process.
