Senior Oracle DBA - Azure

Job Description

• Migrate on prem Oracle database to Azure
• Troubleshoot complex Oracle database issues on premise and on cloud.
• Maintain database disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuous availability and speedy recovery.
• Identify and resolve database issues related to performance and capacity.
• Debug Performance issues
• Monitor and report on database storage utilization.
• Experience writing SQL and the ability to understand what other shave developed.
• Monitor, tune and manage scheduled tasks, backup jobs, recover processes, alerts, and database storage needs 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
• 5+ years Oracle Database Administration experience with administering and supporting multiple Oracle databases on Windows/UNIX/Linux platform
• Strong familiarity with implementation of Oracle in the AZURE cloud and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with SQL tools/products: DataGuard, ASM, RAC, AWR, GoldenGate, and OEM
• Experience in tuning, monitoring, and securing SQL databases
• Experience in managing and tuning OLTP / DW databases
• Experience in SQL / PLSQL development and tuning
• 2 - 3 year experience in AZURE RDS is highly preferred
• 3 year experience with conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning, in addition to SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting
• Familiarity with FISMA HIGH, FedRAMP HIGH, and/or Zero Trust Architecture is strongly preferred.
