Our Opportunity

The Senior Platform Product Manager is accountable for platform services that allow AvidXchange to deliver products quickly and effectively. The position requires the ability to translate customer needs into a set of generic services that the company can re-use in multiple products. The Senior Platform Product Manager plays an active role in the definition of the vision and the strategy for the services.

Responsibilities

  • Define vision for services, set success criteria and enable development teams
  • Be accountable for problem definition, prioritization, backlog management
  • Build a shared understanding of problems through collaboration
  • Exercise platform-centric thinking
  • Foster "win as a team" mentality
  • Communicate clearly and maintain team focus
  • Participate in product development ceremonies
  • Continuously increase the value of team output by setting product goals and KPIs
  • Speed up development by writing clear requirements and communicating frequently
  • Remove bottlenecks through proactive collaboration, transparency
  • Determine whether team output meets the quality criteria and business/user needs
  • Be comfortable with uncertainty and love experimentation
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration in matrixed organization

Required Skills

  • 5 or more years of experience in one or more of the following roles (Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Technical Project Manager, Solution Architect, Software Developer, or related role)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, 2-week sprint cycles preferred
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs with stakeholders
  • Experience with building and/ or managing APIs
  • Demonstrated understanding of master data management
  • Experience analyzing data to drive platform product decisions and strategies

Desired Skills

  • Operational data management knowledge
  • Proven track record: you have delivered multiple platform services in enterprise settings
  • Background in software development, quality assurance or similar technical roles
  • Understanding of agile methodologies, lean software development practices
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • A degree in STEM or business
  • Pragmatic Marketing certifications
  • Understanding of user-centric design and how it impacts platform services
  • Experience with B2B products or FinTech
  • Experience with ETL frameworks
  • Experience with building microservices
  • Expertise in data mining and writing SQL queries
  • Experience with Reltio or master data management platform
