About the team
As a part of the TikTok UED Monetization Product team you will work on fast growing consumer advertising products and innovate new ways to get great videos in front of our users. You will work with fellow designers as well as cross functional roles to grow, improve and redesign the product to increase its effectiveness. Being part of teammember here, you will be able to utilize qualitative/quantitative studies to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to meet the business needs.

In this role you will:
• Take the lead in understanding the goals and revenue expectations of the product, and work to design new solutions as well as improve existing ones to reach those goals.
• Need a strong understanding of social feeds, advertising, and tools that can easily help creators and customers promote their work and products.
• Create and test rough prototypes early in the design process to create confidence in a solution
• Design high-fidelity UI and UX specs to clearly communicate requirements to your team's engineers
• Help make high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product team
• Contribute your design thinking skills to other areas of the platform (Research, Marketing, product education, customer success, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Experience with designing and shipping an end to end product with complicated flows, multiple scenarios, multiple roles and tricky edge cases
• Experience working on tooling for ads, monetization, or feed-based products
• Proven ability to empathize with and build solutions for users
• History of working successfully with PM, Engineering, Research, and other stakeholders to ship high quality products
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision while maintaining a keen eye for visual UI details
• Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision
• Love to discuss design in group settings; participate in design critiques and reviews

Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in product design settings.
• Experienced or interested in data visualization
• Able to navigate ambiguous problems to arrive at a clear product design direction
• History launching 0-1 products
• Enjoy solving hard problems and building strong resilience

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137244 - $318960 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
