Senior Python Backend Engineer, Blockchain

About the Team

Join the Blockchain Backend Infrastructure team and take a lead position in building and maintaining Fireblocks’s blockchain management platform. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building Fireblock's cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure while implementing high-throughput and real-time scalable software solutions. 

What You’ll Do

• Implementing modern BE applications and infrastructure in a microservices architecture, utilizing the latest technologies and development practices.
• Deep diving into the latest blockchain technology, and becoming an expert in the fundamentals, protocols, and features of the blockchains.
• Collaborating effectively with other developers, engineers, and other roles while showcasing independent problem-solving abilities.
• Ensuring that the Fireblocks platform remains at the forefront of blockchain technology!

What You’ll Bring

To thrive in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:

• 5+ years of experience with scalable distributed systems in Python or GoLang.
• Experience in managing high-volume production systems with a strong focus on reliability and operational excellence.
• Experience in microservices development and cloud-based architecture.

• Versatile end-to-end technical experience, spanning from OS level through application and cloud, to CI/CD, K8s, Docker.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of independently exploring, proposing, and implementing well-thought-out solutions.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence, proactiveness, and driving for success.

Bonus Skills:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with Blockchains ecosystem.
