Senior QA Automation Engineer (TypeScript/JavaScript) - Starting in January

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing all aspects of product quality improvement through comprehensive testing activities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various team members, including developers, business analysts, vendors, and operations, to ensure the success of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Testing: Conduct thorough testing to identify product quality improvement opportunities.

Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, business analysts, vendors, and operations teams to ensure product excellence.

Test Automation: Automate functional, regression, and performance acceptance tests. Enhance end-to-end automated test coverage.

Sprint Planning: Actively participate in sprint planning sessions. Work closely with the Scrum team to analyse requirements and provide relevant test recommendations.

Framework Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continually improve the automation framework and test infrastructure.

Skills Required:

Core Skills (Domain Level):

• Proficient in automated test development with TypeScript/JavaScript 
• Proficient with source control technologies such as GitHub/BitBucket
• Experienced with REST API Testing and Cypress.io test automation development
• Knowledgeable in test frameworks such as Mocha 
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins
• Competent in cloud platforms, particularly AWS

Secondary Skills (Team Level):

• Expertise in database queries and structure with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Skilled in performance monitoring and logging tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
• Experience with test automation tools: Insomnia and WireMock
• Practical knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and OpenShift

Nice to Have:

• Awareness of Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) - AWS
• Awareness with API gateway technologies such as Mule and Kong
• Experience with performance tools such as jMeter

Target State Technologies:

• Playwright
• PostgreSQL
