About the role
As a key member of Sonder’s QA chapter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of our technology solutions. You will support the QA team by selecting, implementing, and optimising tools and methodologies to drive quality improvements from the outset. Your focus will be on maintaining and elevating the quality standards in our engineering releases, ensuring that our platform continues to deliver exceptional support and insights for improving global wellbeing.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and review test strategies and scenarios
- Lead the creation of test strategies for engineering releases
- Review and provide feedback on peer test strategies
- Continuously enhance and optimise existing test automation frameworks
- Conduct peer reviews of test automation deliverables
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous testing improvement within your assigned Scrum group
- Oversee quality deliverables and ensure successful engineering releasesÂ
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and issues
- Manage and track defects through their lifecycle
Who are we looking for?

What you bring to the team;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in software testing
- Proficient in SDLC/STLC
- Test strategy/scenarios creation/review
- Experienced with test management tools e.g. QC or ALM
- Knowledgeable in various testing types, including functional, regression, and exploratory
- Experienced in API testing with tools like Postman
- Competent in at least one programming language, preferably Java or JavaScript
- Capable of implementing automation frameworks from scratch for API, web, and native mobile applications
- Experienced with automation testing tools, such as Appium, Selenium, Cypress, or UFT
- Familiar with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins or Bitrise
- Practical experience using version control system e.g. git
- Adept in test case management
- Solid experience in Agile methodologies Scrum/Kanban
- Strong analytical skills for identifying, logging, tracking, and managing defects
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with Gradle, Kotlin, Appium, X-ray, Jenkins, Bitrise
