Job description

Verantos is seeking an experienced QA Engineer with expertise in test automation. As a quality assurance engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. Your role includes designing and implementing tests, test automation, debugging, and defining corrective actions.

The role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems and have a passion for test automation, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document and maintain test plans and test cases.
• Build automated framework, automated tests to test Verantos’ products.
• Drive constant ways to improve existing test frameworks/libraries, automated tests, and overall test execution efficiency.
• Collaborate with members of the engineering team on the creation of product specifications and technical designs and advise them on the development of robust and testable software.
• Evaluate priorities and understand how software quality affects Verantos’ business needs and customer experiences
• Identify and track both discovered and reported bugs.
• Timely reports and escalation to management with current project status quality metrics, bug reports, and release readiness.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a reputed institution. 
• 5+ years of prior work experience in software development, quality assurance, TE/SET/SDET, and/or a similar role.
• Experience with both black and white box testing.
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber etc.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL required; experience with other languages is a plus.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
• Experience with version control (e.g. Git) and developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, and good verbal and written communication skills.
