Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Signal Engineer to join our World Class Rail Team inour Philadelphia, PA office. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects to include Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Positive Train Control (PTC), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Solid State Interlocking (SSI), Cab Signaling and/or conventional signaling systems.
Daily duties and responsibilities:
- Vital and non-vital processor programming
- Develop and review designs and technical specifications
- Coordination of project designs with other disciplines including attendance at project meetings
- Review shop drawings, record changes and communicate directly with suppliers, contractors and client representatives as required.
- Identify construction costs trending out of budget.

- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field + 8YORE of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 8 plus years' experience with designing Train Control Systems.
- 15+ years of experience of the design, construction, testing and commissioning of Train Control Systems and Equipment with a Transit Authority or Signaling Manufacture.
- Experience in Train Control System Design Management.
- Professional Engineers License or ability to obtain within two years of employment.
