The Team You Will Join

As a Software Engineer, you will join our cross-functional team to improve our payments platform and applications. The ideal candidate can engineer reliable, scalable and high-quality solutions to complex business and technical problems.

What would a day @Nium look like?

• Design, develop, ship and maintain business and productivity tools and applications for internal and external clients
• Build first-class software features following best engineering practices. Perform code reviews, implement unit, integration and end-to-end tests in a continuous integration environment
• Improve and maintain our processes
• Help others grow by providing technical guidance, mentoring and sharing domain knowledge

Which Skills & Experiences will make you successful?

• BS in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of software development experience in an object oriented programming language
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong sense of ownership and a proactive, can-do attitude
• A team player who promotes a positive collaborative environment




• Bonus points:
• Experience in financial technology and payment networks
• Comprehensive understanding of Java, the Spring Framework and the JVM
• Experience working with distributed, highly available systems
• Familiarity with MySQL, MongoDB, microservices, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and Amazon Web Services
