About The Role  

Givelify is actively looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer In Test to join our Engineering team. We are looking for self-driven individuals who want to be part of the direction of our product and who enjoy building massive systems on scale in order to ensure other massive systems on scale work as needed. The Senior SDET will work with cross-functional teams to help them build industry-leading solutions & technologies that bring beautiful giving experiences to life while maintaining a high standard of engineering quality. 

Your team 

Givelify’s Test Engineering team is a dynamic group of individuals responsible for designing and developing reliable automated test systems for all our products. These test systems exercise our applications on all tiers (UI, API, DB, etc.) to provide comprehensive test coverage for our products. 

The Senior SDET will get to: 

  • Lead the utilization and/or development of automation tools or scripts to improve product and engineering health
  • Drive opportunities and lead efforts to improve existing test infrastructure or create new test infrastructure to increase efficiency and productivity in test case development, scheduling, or deployment
  • Design and build test automation systems for front-end and back-end services in order to ensure they are clean, scalable, and responsive
  • Design, implement, and maintain new and existing test automation suites
  • Build reusable, modular test applications
  • Partner with UX/Design, Other Software Engineering, Quality Analysts, and DevOps to evaluate test needs and goals
  • Understand project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute comprehensive test plans
  • Perform analysis of test results to yield comprehensive risk assessments
  • Willingness and ability to promote a culture of quality throughout Engineering and the company as a whole 

Your experience:  

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics (STEM)
  • 12+ years of direct test engineering development experience
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with testing and automating tests for APIs in a microservices environment
  • Experience with automating tests for native Android and iOS environments
  • Experience with automating tests for large-scale distributed event-based applications
  • Experience automating across browsers and operating systems (Browserstack experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with build systems like Jenkins and Bitrise
  • Proven experience with object-oriented programming
  • Experience mentoring and growing team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse team
  • Proven ability to identify bottlenecks and drive improvement
