Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer you will harness the power of the latest tools and technologies to craft cutting-edge software solutions for the Information Management Systems product. Your responsibilities encompass the entire software development lifecycle ensuring that components are meticulously designed rigorously tested debugged verified and poised for seamless integration into IBM’s world-class hierarchical database solutions. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in aiding organizations to enhance their business outcomes in the global marketplace.
Key Duties:

• Bi-Weekly Feature Delivery: Collaborate within a scrum team to deliver impactful and valuable features on a bi-weekly basis enhancing project functionality and user satisfaction.
• End-to-End Feature Ownership: Take full responsibility for managing features from concept through design to production ensuring seamless integration and delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers user experience designers and fellow engineers to develop high-quality solutions fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Java Engineering Expertise: Extensive experience in delivering enterprise-level object-oriented software solutions using Java with a deep understanding of complex data models and business rules.
• Database and SDLC Proficiency: Proficient in working with both relational and NoSQL databases and adhering SDLC practices: coding standards reviews code management build processes CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Collaborative Communication: Effective communicator with a collaborative work style capable of working with product management field staff and customers to clarify requirements.
• Commercial Software Delivery: Experience in delivering commercial software with a solid understanding of product and release life cycles source code and change management.
• Fluent English Skills: Strong command of the English language to facilitate clear and effective communication across teams.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Passionate and driven leader with a history of designing and delivering scalable software solutions proficient in modern application architectures and integration patterns.
• Robust knowledge of data structures algorithms and OO programming with professional experience in designing REST APIs and utilizing cloud services like AWS Azure or GCP.
• Experienced in collaborating with customers product management and senior leadership to deliver market-driven value and skilled in developing platform applications with company-wide impact.
• Open to working with diverse technologies including React.js Terraform Kubernetes Docker and more to drive innovation and efficiency.
