We are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Developer to joining our Engineering tea, As part of our Engineering team, you’ll help develop our best practices for all development functions and work with our Global Product team to deliver applications and services across our business. This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

Here’s how:

• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs
• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources
• Resolve technical issues as necessary and complete bug fixes
• Collaborating with key Stakeholders to solve technical problems around software products
• Complete bug fixes
• All other duties as assigned

What we would like our candidate to have:

• Strong level of coding skills in Java 11+ or above (Vanilla Java)
• Intermediate level of coding skills in Spring framework (Java)
• Expertise in development languages including but not limited to: JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX.
• General knowledge of various protocols, such as FTP, FTPS, TCP, HTTP/S, etc
• Strong understanding of Messaging platforms such as JMS
• Knowledge of multi-threading and concurrency
• Experience of working with Java Package Managers like Gradle, Maven or Apache Ivy, Ant
• Familiarity of industry best practices: code reviews, code coverage, test-driven development, security & quality gates
• Knowledge of modern software development practices
• Being familiar with Software Development Life Cycle flow
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken forms)
• Being familiar with relational database management systems – MySQL / MariaDB or PostgreSQL
• Basic knowledge of good practices around CI/CD and deployment pipelines, tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, terraform, Nexus
• Knowledge of agile and sequential development methodologies – Scrum, Kanban & Waterfall
• Knowledge of data manipulation languages
• Knowledge of data storage subsystems
• Experience working in an agile environment
