Senior Software Engineer - Android

Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Android apps, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness across platforms.

User Experience: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces on Android.

Integration: Work closely with backend developers to integrate the mobile apps with RESTful APIs and other services.

Security: Implement and maintain best practices for mobile app security, including encryption, secure coding, and authentication mechanisms on both platforms.

Testing: Conduct thorough testing of the apps, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to ensure a bug-free and stable release on Android.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile development to continually enhance the apps.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and release notes for Android apps.

Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs and performance issues, and provide technical support for app-related queries and problems.

App Store Management: Manage the app submission process to Google Play Store, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in mobile app development, with proven experience in Android development.
Proven track record of developing and deploying Android apps in the Play Store, preferably with fintech experience.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
Knowledge of Apple Pay integration and other payment processing tools (a plus).
Strong understanding of Android frameworks such as Jetpack, Room, and LiveData.
Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile databases.
Familiarity with mobile security best practices and secure coding techniques.
Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for mobile apps.
Understanding of design patterns like MVC, MVVM, and VIPER.
Familiarity with SwiftUI, Combine, and Jetpack Compose (a plus).
