Job Description

To lead and innovate in the development of our Global Merchant Database service, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security as a critical backbone of our company's operations, while driving technical excellence and mentoring team members.

• Lead the development and maintenance of the Global Merchant Database service, which manages data for 1.5 million merchants

• Design and implement public and private APIs, events, and notification systems to integrate Merchant Data with various company services

• Implement and maintain robust access control systems for partners, staff, merchants, service providers, and applications

• Drive the adoption of engineering best practices within the team

• Mentor and coach other engineers, fostering their professional growth

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and product teams to align technical solutions with business needs

• Take ownership of projects, from conception to delivery

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or equivalent role

• Proficiency in Golang

• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, databases (particularly PostgreSQL), and Kafka

• Familiarity with authorization systems (e.g., SpiceDB)

• Expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex systems

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving multiple engineers

• Experience in mentoring and coaching other developers
