Senior Software Engineer - Test

Role

• Lead the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and testing tools to ensure robust test coverage.
• Drive the identification and resolution of complex issues within the codebase, focusing on improving product quality.
• Mentor and guide junior SDETs and other team members in best practices and advanced testing methodologies.
• Design and implement innovative testing strategies to uncover potential problems early.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation tests for backend services to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies and processes that ensure quality delivery.

Must Have

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in development and/or test automation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with backend functional, integration, and regression testing using tools such as Java, Rest Assured, TestNG, and Postman.
• Strong familiarity with SQL databases like MySQL/Postgres and CI tools like Jenkins.
• Good understanding of performance testing and tools such as JMeter or Locust.
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging complex issues and Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools like TestRail.

Good to Have

• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of test engineers.
• Familiarity with GCP cloud services and cloud-based testing.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment.
• Passion for mobile games and cricket.
