Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sourcing Lead to join our Global Technology and/or Services Procurement team which supports IBM in over 80 countries. This position will be responsible for leading and executing complex deals and coordinating regional requirements for Technology and/or Services categories across time zones and geographies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT and/or Services categories with a proven track record in procurement and excellent negotiation skills.
Your role and responsibilities
- Lead complex sourcing deals including multi-stage bids commercial and legal negotiations contract implementation
- Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies aligned with the company's business objectives
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Develop and maintain a robust supplier qualification and performance management system
- Ensure compliance with company policiesĀ proceduresĀ and local regulations
- Analyze procurement data to identify trendsĀ risksĀ and opportunities for improvement
- Participate in the development and implementation of procurement systems and tools.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in supply chain management business administration law finance or a related field
- Fluency in English with Arabic/ Czech/ French or Spanish language knowledge
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing in Hardware Software Maintenance/Support Cloud Services AI and Emerging Technologies HR Marketing Communications Contingent Labor / Management Services Facilities or Travel categories
- Experience working in multiple regions and managing procurement in different countries and through remote teams
- Ability to support sourcing activities across geographies with flexibility of working hours
- Multi-company/sector experiences
- Strong understanding of procurement principlesĀ processesĀ and best practices
- Demonstrated skills in utilizing data to analyze cost modeling scenarios and make sourcing recommendations
- Proven negotiation and contract drafting analysis and management skills
- Proficiency in Ariba Sourcing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities understanding of cost levers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and leverage strong relationships and networks both within and outside the organization
