Title:Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting Location:San Diego - Hybrid, 4 days mandatory onsite Salary:$80-115k + Bonus + RSUs Position Overview: • Collaborate with Finance leads to provide guidance on accounting for operating expenses, ensuring accurate classification and accounting through detailed reviews. • Preparing and filing quarterly, annual, and other financial reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). • Collaborating with business units and corporate functions to assess and document the appropriate accounting treatment for complex and/or new types of transactions. • Work closely with the M&A and technical accounting teams to support the accounting for M&A transactions. • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including variance analysis, journal entry reviews, and preparing/executing executive presentations. • Prepare and present explanations for balance sheet fluctuations Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline. • At least 2/3+ years of experience with a Big Four accounting firm and/or in Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, or a similar field. • Advanced degrees in a relevant field may substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years). • Experience in the technology sector. • Familiarity with XBRL tagging. • Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with systems such as WDesk, Oracle, HFM, and Microsoft applications. • Experience working in large, matrixed organizations. • Proven leadership in a technical accounting role, with or without direct reports. • CPA Certification or equivalent. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows:[$80,000-$115,000]. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
